Zhongli’s eyes widened, instinctively stepping out of the way as something darted past him. The odd entity carried the scent of rainfall, its body lightly glowing like an illuminated sea. The streets of Liyue Harbor were filled with panicked cries.
No one could gain a better view as the thing leaped into the water, vanishing upon impact. Zhongli approached, peering down upon the water’s surface. There wasn’t even a trace of that creature being there in the first place.
“... What was that?”

In which Childe isn’t completely human, is nearly 200 years old, could probably become an archon if he wanted, is a “part-time” Harbinger, and eventually ends up moving in with Zhongli.
Meanwhile, Zhongli has never seen a being quite like Childe in all of his years of living. Childe is left wondering why the Geo Archon looks at him like he’s the most interesting thing in the world.

"Apparently" is pretty dubious because Obito was not exactly born but more like spat out of death's stomach with absolutely no idea of what to do next.
On the upside (more like downside) there's a Kakashi-look alike with a god complex and Obito really wants to fist fight god.

Summary
Childe and Zhongli’s friendship is unlikely, with one being an impulsive, confident, and adventurous billionaire who’s friends with virtually everyone and sought after by more, and the other a quiet, reserved, and introverted old soul who says “please” and “thank you” to leaves on the sidewalk. When ranting to each other over drinks one night, they come to the most absurd solution to both of their problems: pose Zhongli as Childe’s boyfriend and sugar baby, just until everything settles, of course. Childe has more than enough money to spare, Zhongli doesn’t mind helping a friend in need, and their arrangement is flawless. At least, it appears to be that way.
