Summary
“You know what they say about watched pots.”
Lex lifts his head to meet Jonathan’s eyes. If he’d expected crisis to make Lex look older, Jonathan was mistaken. What must have been several hours of raw-edged panic has stripped him of the self-assurance that makes it easy to forget that Lex is twenty-two year old. He always scoffs when Martha points that out–usually after he’s lost his temper. After all, they hadn’t been much older than Lex when they’d gotten married, and they certainly hadn’t felt like kids then. But it strikes Jonathan very suddenly how little he’d known about the world, even about himself, at that age.
“I owe it to him,” Lex says as he straightens up."
Jonathan (grumpily) decides that Lex isn't spending the night in the hospital after the tornado.

Summary
“D’you–” Mickey chews on the inside of his cheek. “Do you want to go home?”
There’s a part of him, somehow, against all odds, that feels a pang of disappointment at the thought. Mickey has only had the one taste of what it’s like to run through the stars and he already understands what had so quickly intoxicated Rose. And it’s not just the travel. Being with the Doctor, even when you’re just the squeaky third wheel, feels a little like being the main character of the universe. Like your choices mattered, like you could change things. It’s not a feeling Mickey has had before, and it’s hardly one that he expects to have again."
After Girl in the Fireplace, Mickey reminds Rose that she belongs in the TARDIS.

Summary
"Father Brown steps into the police box—and into an entirely new world. His breath catches in his throat at the sight, so he stands in the entryway for a long moment, drinking it in.
“You’re really not going to say it, are you?” the Doctor asks. “Usually, people can’t help themselves. It’s bigger on the inside.”
Father Brown raises his eyebrows. “There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in my philosophy.”
A town in the Cotswolds has been stuck in 1953 for nearly a decade, and the Doctor, fresh from the Time War, intends to figure out why.

Summary
"There is a small—very small, mind you, because twenty years in the desert haven’t turned him into a krayt dragon—part of Obi-Wan Kenobi that thinks things would be a little bit easier if Beru Lars had burned with her husband. In his defense, she’s currently barrelling towards him with a blaster leveled between his eyes and murder in hers."
Or, the one where Aunt Beru was out running errands when the homestead burned, and everything changes, just a little bit.

Summary
Mary Bennet agrees to spend the London season with the newly married Darcys. She discovers that she would still infinitely prefer a book. But hiding in the library at balls and parties is not the solution, as an odd young man keeps turning up there.
“'Miss Bennet', she says. I did not know my Conscience would have such an ordinary name.”
“I am not your conscience, sir,” Mary said, feeling made fun of and annoyed to be shaken out of her reverie for nonsense. “And whimsicality such as this, whilst charming in a child, is not so appealing in a grown man.”
“Wait,” he said. “Do wait. I am so used to speaking in that silly way with silly young women that I quite forgot myself. Please stay and talk a little more.”
(from the prompt "Mary's season in London. Her moralising is a trial to her sisters but in the end she outshines them all.")
