What he gathers is that he won’t see her again, after tonight. Such is the truth of transient lives like his - and hers, apparently. Though It does mean that he feels a lot more at ease with her. After all, what difference does one night make, with a woman he’ll never see again? His secrets, his story, or even her secrets, her story - none of it matters here. There’s a pleasure to take in that.
Navy Captain Cloud meets a woman dressed in moonlight in a smelly pub of a shanty town. An encounter - he thinks - that will last only the span of a night.
