Obi-Wan frowns, seeing that Anakin is not even lifting his eyes, being engrossed with his repair work, and yet still seeking affection so casually.
By principle, it’s affection Obi-Wan should deny.

Summary
The cat stares at Obi-Wan, blinking slowly with curious eyes.
“Well. Hello, there.”
Obi-Wan greets the creature at his door, staring back. The cat has sleek, black fur all over, except for the white streak on the side of his face. He is much smaller than a Loth-cat, with much shorter fur too. Possibly a less common sub-species of the tooka. He has blue eyes instead of yellow like most black cats, and oh—he’s missing a front leg.
A pang of sympathy swells in Obi-Wan’s chest. The poor thing. Where has he come from? Who is his owner? Did he wander all the way from the lower levels of Coruscant and into the Temple? Did he get injured because he’s a stray?
The cat sits on his tail, looking straight up as Obi-Wan crouches down before him.
“Hello, dear,” he greets the small creature again, this time in a much gentler tone. “Now, how have you wandered to my door?”

“You need to sleep.”
Smoke drifts from the soldering iron in Anakin’s mechanical hand when he pauses.
“No, I don’t. It’s fine.” He only meets Obi-Wan’s eyes for a moment, a tight smile at his lips, aiming at reassurance. It would work better if his eyes weren’t red-rimmed with exhaustion. “And I can go much longer without sleep. I’ve done it before.”
“That’s more the reason to not suffer again.” Obi-Wan sighs, knowing he’s properly nagging now. “Anakin…”
“And the nagging is unbecoming, Obi-Wan. You promised you’d stop.”

“Oh,” Obi-Wan pauses, eyes falling on him with reverence. “Oh, darling. Has anyone ever had you like this?”
There is no use hiding the truth. Anakin’s mind is wide open for Obi-Wan to sense the shame in his inexperience—the reason that he’s so sensitive, so responsive. The hands mapping out his body are the first hands to touch him. He has never had anyone else.

A tendril of something joyous and sweet circled in Sam’s chest, threatening to bust out in a beaming smile. He managed it down into something closer to a smirk. “Are you mother henning me right now?”
But Bucky didn’t rise to the jab. His expression stayed open and concerned. “Someone’s got to. You just signed up to be the first responder to the world at large, and you play it like No Big Deal. You need to have someone looking out for you.”
There it was. That camaraderie. That Brothers In Arms Mentality. It was wonderful, and it was awful, and it was why Sam loved him and why he wouldn’t ever dare say it out loud.
OR, the one where Sam inherits the Avengers Compound and decides it's time to put together a new team.Easier said than done.

Summary
After serving his time in Special Ops, Bucky moves to a two-horse town, deep in the mountains. He buys an old log cabin in a large clearing surrounded by acres of tall, thick trees and dark woods- the only place for miles up there.
As he acquaints himself with the locals, he learns about the small town’s weird obsession with wolves and all the supernatural rumors, specifically around the area of his cabin.
Bucky thinks them all a little off-kilter until peculiar occurrences around his new home piques his interest enough to find out more.
And that’s when he learns that apparently werewolves are a very real thing.
Pity that Bucky doesn’t share the town’s caution when it comes to the woods and his cabin.
This ‘werewolf’ devoured his pizza and left the crust, how scary can he really be?

So maybe it’s true what they say: time heals all wounds. Easy enough to pretend nothing ever happened with how much time has passed. He barely even thinks about that night—Sam’s hands all over him, his mouth doing the things it did to Bucky’s body, the way he looks when he comes. Hardly ever does he think about it. He’s fine. He’s been fine.
He convinces himself very thoroughly of this for a very long time until his work tablet beeps one afternoon in the middle of him watching Days of Our Lives, season 99, episode 5901, in yesterday’s pajamas, halfway to the bottom of a Cheetos bag.

He thought he’d imagined all the possibilities, but somehow ‘sitting across the table from Bucky listening to Scott Lang and Stephen Strange argue about the fate of the multiverse’ failed to make it on to his bingo card.
