Summary
“You know,” Jaskier whispers, revealing the great secret. “It’s my weakness.”
“Weakness?” Geralt narrows his eyes.
“Yes, a man like Andrej.” Jaskier’s eyes brighten in fondness. “I happen to have no resistance around a good father like him.”
A pause of silence, and Geralt squints harder.
“A good… father,” he states, very, very slowly.
Or,
Jaskier reveals he has a type. Geralt behaves strangely.

Summary
Jaskier hides behind the dancing crowd, behind the bonfire illuminating the night sky.
The hem of his skirt flows in the gentle breeze, sweeping across the dance floor as he twirls with the music. The corset hugs the lines of his waist, the curve of his hips, its golden embroidery reflecting the moonlight against the dark silk. It highlights his wide shoulders, with the chemise slipping down with every movement, revealing the elegant lines of his neck.
Jaskier also hides his face, behind a mask shaped like a silver wolf.
Geralt’s chest warms at the sight, but he should focus on the important things. Catching Jaskier in this crowd, for example.

Summary
“Isn’t it beautiful?” Jaskier asks in wonder, the golden sunset casting long shadows behind them.
They sit side by side on the beach, toes buried in the sand. There is no one else on the coast for miles, only the two of them. They could be the only two people in the world.
It’d be enough, Geralt realizes.
He looks back at Jaskier, turning away from the sunset. Jaskier wears happiness well, his cheeks round with a smile, eyes flowing with warmth. It’s a state rarely shown around anyone else. A bard performs to an audience, but never to Geralt, never when it’s just the two of them.
“Yeah,” Geralt whispers, “it is.”

“Ow, ow, ow…” Jaskier hisses, holding his injured shoulder still. The arrow pulls at his flesh suddenly. “Ow! Are you trying to kill me, witch?”
He turns around to send a glare, only to find Yennefer rolling her eyes.
“It needs to come out so I can heal you, bard.”

Summary
“I never…” Geralt’s voice is deep with the promise of sleep. “I never tell you enough.”
“Hmm?”
The forest is shimmering with moonlight when Jaskier cracks open his eyes. Geralt is watching him closely, something soft in his expression.
“How lucky I am,” Geralt adds. “With you. To have you. I don’t tell you enough.”

Summary
Fire and ice, Jaskier muses. It’s too cliché for his poetry, but there are no better analogies when they press against each other under the covers, a cold witcher warmed by a human bard.
Jaskier is content being Geralt’s human-shaped furnace. He learned a long time ago that witchers’ fast metabolism means they are prone to running cold. He also learned, at the same time, of Geralt’s tendency of ignoring his body’s demands.
Or,
Two very different people try to build a life together. They just might end up wanting the same thing.

Summary
Jaskier does not panic when he falls in love.
Perhaps he should, he thinks, just a little. This is Geralt, his best friend, his companion, the reason for all his songs and the beat of his heart. But only sureness pools in Jaskier’s stomach like warm tea on a rainy day. There is no tightness in his chest, no constricting of breaths.
His love for Geralt brings no harm, only safety.
He is decidedly and unsurprisingly not panicking. It’s Geralt, after all.

Summary
Jaskier isn’t sure which part of him hurts more.
The air smells of an omega’s pre-heat, the sweet honey scent radiating from his warm skin.
“Geralt,” Jaskier murmurs, kissing the faint mating scar on Geralt’s neck in a self-soothing manner, drinking in the familiar, comforting scent of his alpha. “Hurts.”
“Hmm.” Geralt, the bastard, turns a page of the book he’s reading over Jaskier’s shoulder. “Too bad.”

Summary
Winter arrives with a small cough that settles deep in Jaskier’s lungs.
“Oh, dear.” Jaskier rubs his chest, coughing a few times, breaths forming a white fog. “What is with me today?”
Geralt tucks in the woolen scarf around Jaskier’s neck. “Perhaps you should go in,” he says. “I’ll finish in the garden.”
“Nonsense!” Jaskier pushes Geralt’s gloved hands away. “It’s our winter garden. I will not leave all the chores to you, darling, no matter how adorable you look when you give the plants little pep talks.”
Or,
The care and keeping of one’s bard and winter garden. Jaskier falls ill. Geralt copes as best as he can.
