Chuuya finds a child branded H-0404 and takes him home, intent to show him all the care he never got, and maybe heal a little bit along the way.
Dazai, or subject H-0404, isn't sure what to expect when a man dressed in colors he had never seen takes him from the scientists. He can only hope it's better, and pray that it's not worse. He just has one question: Why hasn't the man hurt him yet?ORRRR: Chuuya, youngest Port Mafia boss in history and former test subject, asks, "Is anyone gonna properly care for this traumatized child?" and doesn't wait for an answer.

Summary
Dazai is a kitsune, but he hasn’t had a god in a long time, as the only ones strong enough to command him had all died out -- something he is absolutely fine with. But then came Chuuya, and Dazai’s hoshi no tama can again be possessed by someone stronger than him. How will he and Chuuya navigate being partners when Chuuya holds Dazai's soul in his hands?
OR basically a collection of whumpy one-shots and longer fics that are set in the same(ish) universe. Mostly Dazai whump, but others might show up.

Dazai Osamu is cursed.
It didn’t take him long to figure out. After his second suicide attempt which should have, for all intents and purposes, succeeded, he realized that there must be something deeply wrong with him. Outside of the obvious, of course. He tested his theory again and again, and honestly, he’s never stopped trying. There’s a little voice in the book of his head always wondering if this may be the one suicide to work, or that may pull through.
Mori promised to deliver him a drug that would kill him. That was the second attempt. The boss went through with his debt to Dazai. After all, Dazai did join the Port Mafia under the pretense of a life six feet underground. If he didn’t, Dazai would’ve made himself scarce immediately.
It should have worked.

“You don’t look so good. How about we go back to Wangshu Inn?” Aether says gently, walking towards him with his arms down by his side. Unguarded and unreserved. Xiao nearly flitches with the intensity of the Traveler’s trust. “What’s happened?”
When Aether touches Xiao’s face with a calloused and gentle hand, Xiao grasps his forearm and plants his thumb directly over the pulse point. He feels the thump of life that echoes through Aether and tries to convey the message that he cannot say out loud. He presses down hard enough for Aether’s wrist to flex involuntarily.
Run.
Gods can never truly die. They can be sealed and buried, but they will eventually lick their wounds and dig their way out of their graves. Xiao’s previous master is one such god, and she does not forget easily.

Summary
When Alatus is very young, he hears a story about a boy who flew too close to the sun. It is not quite a story from Fontaine, but rather an older, dead nation that existed before Fontaine was a glimmer in anybody's mind - but to call it a story from Fontaine is closest to what modern inhabitants of the hydro archon's region would understand.
Regardless, he heeds the story's warnings well. In his abundance of caution, he flies low and tastes the salt of the sea spray on his tongue as his fingertips trail through the white-capped waves.
As many birds that fly too close to the water are, one day Alatus is snapped up.
