Licorice leaned against a wall of his chamber as he coughed up jam, the red and green mix just slightly trickled down his mouth. They felt so pathetic, first Pomegranate's rude remarks, and now this? This wasn't the first time it had happened too, and every time it did, it always hurt like shit. They wanted to cry, they really did. They fucked everything up, and now they had been overworked and overwhelmed to the point their body had started to give up on them again.

As Schwarzwälder passed his master's bedroom, he could hear violent coughing and quiet whimpers. Worried, she slowly opened the door, as to not startle the other.

TDLR; Licorice's body is starting to give up on him and he gets a much needed hug from Schwarzwälder that just turns into being held until he falls asleep

Summary
Milk cookie has always been opposed to the sacrifices that happen every half-decade to the awful beast that terrorizes the kingdom his father rules over, keeping the creature at bay. Aged 17, he’s finally old enough to witness one for himself, despite his protests. However, when the latest sacrifice does not show up, he is a sudden replacement, snatched away by the snake-like being before he could even say goodbye.
