A chance encounter at sea changes everything and soon the fisherman and scholar will find themselves embroiled in one of the greatest pirate wars the Caribbean has ever seen. (Loosely follows Pirates of the Caribbean but with a case!fic twist. Who wants to hunt a kraken?)

Summary
It took them by surprise when the infection hit.
