“And am I… ‘generally bratty’ to you?” Vi questioned her cockily, while she was the one on top. Caitlyn’s azure eye sparked and crackled with mischief, and that beatific smile, with it’s little gap, warmed her features.
“A proper little shit,” she doubled down as she struggled playfully.
“Fight me, Cupcake.” Vi brought her face almost nose to nose with her, throwing down the gauntlet. “You can squirm as hard as you want, but I won’t stop unless you say ‘halt’.”
Caitlyn lashes flashed up as she did an excited little inhale that was illegally hot for an officer of the law.
OR
Vi can get a good grip on Caitlyn, just not on herself.

Vi’s hands on her jaw kept her warm. Her thumb traced lines up and down Caitlyn’s sharp cheekbone, soothing her. “You’ll make it work.” Vi reassured softly. “You always do.”
Caitlyn didn’t want to think about it. She hadn’t tried to look through a scope since. In her regular life, she started bumping with furniture and squinting at distant objects. Before, she could tell exactly how many paces away a person was, no matter the distance. Now the breeze billowing the curtains made her flinch.
“Can I see?”

Because Neil always knows. He is as fluent in Andrew’s micro-expressions as he is in German and French. He knows which head tilts mean “go on” and which ones mean “shut up.” Without ever asking, he learned what it meant to see Andrew wearing double layers of long sleeves, or taking multiple showers in a day, and learned to hand Andrew the car keys.
That has always been the most terrifying thing about Neil — his patience to wait, watch, listen, learn. The prospect that if Neil were given enough time, there would be no part of Andrew that was just Andrew’s anymore.
“He has to know,” Andrew says.
“Does he?” Renee says. “Have you ever known Neil to assume that he is wanted?”
Five times Neil tells someone that he and Andrew aren’t dating, and one time Andrew uses his words to set the record straight.

Gripping each other’s arms before battle was the most heartfelt touch they exchanged. Lingering soft touches were not done. Any lingering touch on his person could be interpreted as political movements. After all, Arthur’s body wasn’t his own. It never had been. He was Camelot’s first and foremost. Even above his own needs and wants.
