Summary
Only once they were out of sight of the café did the man stop and take his arm away, giving Stede a sheepish little grin. “Looked like you needed rescuing back there,” he said, and then held out his free hand. “I’m Ed.”
Stede, still a little dumbfounded, grasped Ed’s hand in a weak shake. “Stede. Stede Bonnet. I’ll pay you back for the tea, I promise. I get paid next week.”

Summary
“Are you sure you’re not married?” Stede swallows.
Something is tickling the back of his mind, a memory or dawning realisation or the hangover exasperated by the flashing lights of Las Vegas spilling onto the dishevelled bed. Stede pulls at his left glove, alarm coiling in his gut.
Ed snorts in amusement. “Yeah I’m sure. I think I’d remember if I got hitched.”
“Would you?” Stede says shakily.
He holds his hand between them. Around his ring finger is a band matching Ed’s exactly. Brand new, without a single scratch on it, golden and lovely.

Summary
Ed did not believe in God. No God worth praying to would have let a man as evil as his father into the world. But he hoped with every fiber of himself that Lucius had found his way onto some flotsam and hadn’t yet breathed his last. The boy didn’t deserve to die. He’d only been trying to help Ed and his thank you was to be tossed into the mighty ocean. No God worth praying to would have let a monster like Edward Teach live either.
Or, Post-S1 reunion arc featuring angsty, depressed Ed, multi-character POV, stowaway Lucius, and a horny reunion at the end. When Stede failed to show up on the dock, Ed assumes he'd chosen to stay in King George's Navy over him and after the events of E10 he feels trapped in a life he doesn't want.
