Gold is a marine biologist dedicated to protecting the creatures there, Milah wants to turn a profit, and their son has his own ideas about how to befriend a mermaid.

He leaned in closer against the sill of the window, feeling the wood cut into his chest. Genos glanced down at his clothes.
“A tank top, and jeans, Sensei,” he answered, as if it were a trick question.
