Summary
The bandit threat is reaching a critical point. When a rider vanishes and the academy's security fails, the dragon riders face an impossible search across treacherous wilderness. As the bandit threat escalates and time runs out, they discover that some battles aren't won on a battlefield—they're won through the quiet, desperate refusal to leave anyone behind.
Sometimes a war or a fight isn't about the flashing blades and the courage on a battlefield.
Sometimes the story need to linger in the uncomfortable feeling accompanying it.
The utter feeling of helplessness and desperation in wanting to help but not knowing if you can. Of wanting to hold on, but not knowing if you can manage.Sometimes the story is about a profound love that is not romantic in nature. Of support and resilience, of friendship and encouragement.

Summary
Scott suddenly gasps, eyes wide open as he stares at a squinting Aurora. "I know what I should do, I should go to Pyro's right now!"
The idea seems reasonable enough to him as he manages to stand up (barely) while holding on to his dragon. Well, he might also still be a bit under the influence of alcohol, considering the amount he drank, but it should be fine, right?
After the graduation ball, Scott visits Pyro, before going on his trip.
