Summary
Catra suddenly laughs, because what is she doing? She’s a closeted lesbian who hasn’t spoken to her family in years because of it, she’s struggling financially through grad school, she lives in a shitty apartment, and she’s just, essentially, offered to help a ghost figure out how to be a ghost.
But the hopeful look in Adora’s eyes is still there, and she’s wearing the first genuine smile Catra’s ever seen on her, and she’s almost blindsided by how beautiful Adora is.
So Catra nods and says, “yeah. I’ll help you figure it out,” because really, how hard can it be?
(Really, she has no idea what she’s getting herself into.)

Summary
A grand reinvisioning of the Metroid universe focused around the lives of Samus and (my take on) Sylux from the earliest days to every major chapter of their lives as they experience and shape the greatest time of crisis in an aeon. Whether it's grand missions or simple, quiet moments of day to day life, the story is fundamentally about what is like to grow up as a youth in the far future as the status quo crumbles away and far more uncertain and dangerous times await, and what it is like to be born human but raised by alien beings who are all but myth to most and to bear the burden of great expectations.
All comments & feedback welcome. Even the silly ones.
Undergoing fairly extensive rewrites to fix some internal continuity errors. The overall plot won't change though.

Summary
Rare neutral ground between the warring forces of the Eternian Empire and the Galactic Horde, Etheria Station is a safe haven nestled in the center of the Whispering System.
Adora finds herself a deserter of both the Horde and the Eternian forces; seeking refuge in the only place in the galaxy left to her, she struggles to figure out what kind of life she wants to lead on Etheria Station now that she isn't a soldier any more. It doesn't take long for Catra to show up on the station, claiming that she's defected from the Horde, but Adora can't shake the feeling that of all the Horde's covert operatives, Catra is the one most uniquely qualified to successfully pull off a delicate 'retrieval' of a wayward Force Captain Adora.
