Summary
Day 1: College AU
If Sapnap had to describe Karl Jacobs, he would say that he was stubborn and insistent, and on top of that, he was always bored and looking for excitement. It was a dangerous combination, but it always made for a good night. Rather it was running down the city streets at two in the morning or impulsively travelling two hours outside the city for a meal at a restaurant, Karl was always looking for an adventure and Sapnap was always his accomplice.
This night was nothing out of the ordinary. The night started with the two of them drunk and bored at a college party, and before they knew it they were breaking into their university with a stolen keycard, all with the purpose of writing their names on an 'infamous' wall in black sharpie. Though, after a close call in a janitor's closet and an accidental slip of words, the night is suddenly no longer the story of how they broke into their university, and instead the story of how the two of them finally got together.
OR - the fic where Sapnap and Karl break into their university while drunk and also, accidentally, confess their feelings.

“Karl, are you asleep?” Silence. The corner of Karl’s lip twitched up into a playful smile as he heard Sapnap sigh, and he wondered if he’d just end the call to ‘save bandwidth’, as Discord would put it. That stuff doesn’t grow on trees! The giddy phrase flashed in his mind as he waited for the inevitable two-tone telltale sound of someone hanging up over this app. It didn’t come.
Instead, his eyes flew open.
“I wish you were here right now.” Sapnap’s soft voice was so wistful, it was almost painful. “I...I don’t know what I’d do, or where we’d go...but I just wish you were here.” There was a long, pregnant pause. Karl knew damn well he couldn’t say a word, couldn’t breathe wrong, lest he allow Sapnap to catch on that he was, in fact, confessing something very personal to a very awake man.Bookmarked by Shell_bell321

Karl Jacobs was leaning on his friend, red cup in hand, laughing happily. Sapnap didn’t know him then, didn’t know his name or anything about him, except his laugh and smile and purple sweater. He sat up, struggling to balance. Dream’s laughter cut through, interrupting Karl in Sapnap’s mind, and he clumsily hit Dream on the mouth to shut up.
“What is it?” Dream asked, grabbing Sapnap’s shoulder to keep him up.
“Pretty,” Sapnap said.
