Expect it does.
Jax learns pretending not to care doesn’t mean it’s true, and that the circus doesn’t function as he’d convinced himself it does.

“Oh Ribbonsss!” Jax called as he pushed Gangle's door open, pointedly ignoring her indignant shrieks.
The first thing he registered was the absolutely terrified expression on her very red face as she froze in embarrassment.
“Whatcha up to in here Ga-“
The second thing he registered was what exactly he’d walked in on.
She was sprawled out on her bed, lying stomach down with her leg ribbons in the air. A blue sketchbook lay open on the mattress in front of her, and wrapped up in each of her hands were plushies. Specifically, one plushie of Pomni and one of Jax with their fabric faces shoved together in a very rudimentary “kiss”.
“-whAT ARE YOU DOING??!?”

Summary
Life if the circus is not very interesting for the imprisoned cast members. Even though this is the case, Jax is not a sad lump about it--no, he's a moody prankster that entertains himself with mischief and other less than savory methods of distraction. One day, circus life changes for him and everyone else when the new girl shows up, and he finds that she is exceedingly more interesting than he would have guessed. He unexpectedly starts to indulge in her presence because it doesn't make him want to barf or break something, and she seems to be receptive enough to the formation of a friendship. None of the others thought him actually capable of being a decent, friendly person, accepting the innocent and ignorant Pomni. Fortunately for them, the little jester is actually much more aware and perceptive than they assume her to be, and she becomes the catalyst for changing the standard of living for all in the circus. Well, he figured out she's not as innocent and ignorant as he'd thought.

Alright- I wasn't going to post this for the longest time bc I was too nervous to, but I finally decided fuck it, this fandom is full of freaks and I've already gotten myself deep into it sooooo I might as well. This is a very self-indulgent fic that was heavily inspired by cosmic-nia's tumblr post that I'll link below, because I was very not normal about it when I saw it and finally gave into my need for a written fic to exist lmaoo. It's not a swap AU like the original, but I still like the idea of Ragatha becoming doll-sized and having to adjust to it.
Chapter one isn't going to actually have many shipping moments, but trust me when I say that there will be in the future. For those who know me, I milk the hell out of bunnydoll. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy it! I know it's a little niche, but I think it's cute. Teehee.
