Listen, listen if you'd like to read some botw zelink with some obvious sexual tension, look no further than this fic. I'm often picky about this sort of stuff because it can veer into weird territory for me. Consider it a byproduct of being very ace or something, I don't know—BUT this didn't go to that spot for me. It's such a good example of character introspection and reading between the lines and features some just lovely prose! All while you're also sitting there sweating because damn someone between Zelda and Link has to eventually break all the tension down right?
But, of course, that's precisely why this game starts, isn't it? Take a chance if you dare >:)

Summary
Uraraka has spent almost a year grieving the tragic loss of Deku, the hero who was supposed to save the world and the boy she loved with everything in her, but she is slowly moving on, acting as the hero that Deku would want her be. She's got her job, her friends, and her life. She's even managed a strange friendship with Bakugou, who bore the weight of Deku's death almost as hard as her. Things are once again looking hopeful.
This is, until, Deku comes back into her life and shatters everything she's rebuilt. Except he's not what he seems. Something is wrong with him - with his mind - and Uraraka will be damned if she lets the darkness take him again. If only he agreed with her. If only he wasn't so determined to take her with him.

I'll be real: I kind of avoided reading any Villian!Deku stuff, mostly because I was concerned about the portrayal being handled wrong. Because I think the concept is fascinating, but it could easily be fumbled in the execution; and I really didn't want to wind up disappointed in that regard.
This was my first attempt to try it out. And I'm so grateful that this is the fic I started on. The author handles the idea perfectly. Finding a way to warp Midoriya into a villian, while still retaining traits that are so him. The prose and pacing is, overall, just top notch.
I fully admit to being a hardcore IzuOcha shipper, and Kacchako has never really been on my radar. I really don't ship it, in general. But I can absolutely get behind it in this fic. It doesn't matter how this ends in that regard to me, because the interactions and build up between each pairing is touched on in the most caring way. No matter which one winds up as endgame, I'll be pleased for how it turned out because I know from how this fic has gone on so far, all of the build up will be satisfying and worth it.
