Ray pushes open the door, going in first, and sinks to his knees in the middle of the motel room, setting down the carbine and shedding his backpack. Pete is close behind, following suit as soon as he breaches the entrance and lets the door shut behind him.
“Fuck. I don’t think I could get back up if I wanted to,” Ray says.
“Same here,” Pete pants. Now that he is finally immobile does he truly begin to feel the aching in his legs and feet.
“Let’s just—just sit here for awhile.”

Summary
Being a college student was expensive.
Tuition, dorm fees, laundry, food, textbooks, and anything else you could think of. Which is why Collie immediately started applying for jobs in and around his college town when he moved into the dorms for his first year of college.
He was walking back to his dorm building when he got an email saying that a local sports bar had officially hired him, and that his first day was the following week.
But he didn't anticipate that the hardest part of his job would be dealing with Gary Barkovitch. A seasoned line cook with odd tattoos, a bad attitude, and a strange affinity for mid 2000's pop stars.
At least the money was good.
