“-Please.”, Marvel interrupted, which was something he had never dared to do before. Not to Batman. It was as he continued that Bruce realized the arm beneath his fingers was shaking, “Please not Superman- I couldn't handle it if it was him. Not again.”
The anguish swimming in his bright blue eyes nearly sucked Bruce in, letting him be enveloped in the pain and loss that was barely being held in. Then the words caught up to him and Bruce frowned.
“Captain… what do you mean, again?”

Bruce is having hard time updating Captain Marvel's contingency plan. Billy is having a hard time with visions from other dimensions of death delivered by the hands of trusted friends and teammates. -

Broken, sick and screaming, Joker cries for help and Batman is the one to come to his aid. What happened to the crazed man for him to become so scared of his own shadow, where is his laughter?
