"Here, among the shroud of chemicals, with Price occupied, Soap allows his anger to make itself known. He slams his fist forward, once, twice, again and again. Makarov goes bloody, his eyes wide, face turning unrecognizable, fingernails scratching at Soap like a wild animal.
When Makarov goes unconscious, it is not because of the sleeping gas.
This all happens in less than a minute, and Soap still has his fist raised for attack when he realizes what he forgot. Who he forgot. The soldier.
From the corner of Soap’s eye, he notices as said man rises from the floor, where he had fallen with the halting of the van. Emerging through the vapor like a damned soul in a graveyard, the expressionless mask taunts Soap."

Ghost is dead. He died at the Gora Dam, and Soap has not been taking it well. But Makarov is still out there, and he has his own monopoly on a new and profitable product. Oh, and he has this new guard dog of a soldier that keeps preventing Soap from getting his revenge.

Summary
The kidnapper watches the small screen next to the TV with an increasingly incredulous expression as the larger man slowly starts to scootch the chair he is tied to, inch by inch, to get closer to their second captive, unconscious in his own chair.
His hand keeps moving from the bowl of popcorn to his mouth mechanically while he continues to watch the men, more interested in what is happening on the smaller screen than in the movie scene that is happening on the larger one.
When the brown haired man starts to move his head, while the blond one obviously tries to get his attention, the kidnapper decides this has gone on long enough and rises from the scraggly couch, tucking his gun inside his waistband as he exits his room on his way to the prisoners.

Buck gets kidnapped, Eddie ... comes to the rescue?

Summary
Ghost and Soap were together until Soap found someone back home that he was interested in. Soap retired to make a life for himself with this mysterious person before Ghost could tell him that they were expecting a child together. Now four years later when Simon runs into one of Johnny's sisters in the store and she figures out who the other parent of his daughter is.
