Summary
Ignis Scientia was one of the kids people liked to label as talented or gifted. With his sharp mind and his soul that grew older faster than his body, he got the chance for a new life and to use his talent and gift to support Prince Noctis.
He left his hometown with his uncle and finally found a place where he felt like he belonged to. He was allowed to learn as much as he wanted to and people respected him for his talent and praised him for his good work.
But everything started to change when Ignis began to visit a public school and had to learn, that not everyone was as welcoming and accepting as the people working for the crown. And things got even more complicated when his heart spoke a language he couldn't understand, especially not when his heart decided to belong to a certain Gladiolus Amicitia.

Niflheim, an empire in which its politicians wear white pure clothes but the corners of their streets are filled with dirt. Stories no one cares about, people no one cares about, unless those stories aren't about an Alpha. As an Omega, Ignis Scientia knows very well his place in this world, since he is part of that 'dirt'. Things like love? Freedom? Safety? Equality? Bonding with an Alpha? He doesn't believe in them but he does his best to protect other Omegas. Though, one day he meets Gladiolus and Noctis, two Alphas from Insomnia who want to bring equality to Niflheim and all the things Ignis doesn't believe in.

Ignis Scientia had learned at a young age to perform his duties quietly and flawlessly. He learned not to draw undue attention to himself, as attention had often lead to pain and humiliation at the hands of those who considered themselves to be his betters.
He has no idea what to do when the attentions of one Gladiolus Amicitia are directed at him. He expects harshness and cruelty, but is met with something quite the opposite.

Gladio tries to get some sleep after a terribly wrecking day, but the phone shakes him awake. He considers not answering the constant messages and calls, until he realizes the desperate caller is his best friend and crush.
He starts checking through the messages, and the latest one has Gladio jumping out of bed and into the streets to look for his friend, hoping it's not too late.

Okay, so it wasn't Gladio's dumbest idea ever. But it probably hadn't been the greatest idea in the world, either. He'd had good intentions, yeah? Didn't that count for something? He'd just wanted to see his friend happy, help him erase some of the tension his busy life caused. He'd just wanted to help a guy out. That was the plan.
The plan was not ending up in Iggy's bed, thoroughly sexed out and emotionally confused.
And yet... here he was.

“Time is a precious commodity, Mr. Amicitia,” Ignis says flatly, “so I suggest we don't waste any more of it than is absolutely necessary.” He flicks Gladio a look of unfiltered disdain—payback for being late. “I'm sure you must have important abdominal crunches to be doing.”
The smile on Gladio’s face fades. His nostrils flare slightly—then, as though that response was a figment of the imagination, he's grinning again. Still, there's a certain satisfaction in seeing the other man rattled, even just momentarily.
“Well, I'd hate to keep you from cuttin’ Noct’s breakfast into bite size pieces, or foldin’ his pyjamas,” Gladio says.
Gladio and Ignis are drawn to each other, but for all the wrong reasons. This is... a problem.
