Summary
Yu knows that if he burns this letter, he’d be breaking all of his morals. He’d be destroying his friends’ trust and all of the memories they made while trying to bring the real killer to justice. He thinks deeply about them one last time, feeling his eyes starting to burn. He clenches the lighter in his hand tightly and grabs the letter from the table.
Yu inhales and lets the flame touch the paper.
____After Yu burns the letter in hopes that Adachi will become a better person if the murders are covered up, the man confesses his crimes. He also mentions his accomplice, the one that destroyed the evidence along with the trust of his friends for a man that is far from salvation.
Stuck on probation for a whole year in a town where everyone despises him, Yu has to convince his former friends to continue towards the truth, even if it means losing their bonds forever.Bookmarked by Sleeplyss

“You know! My little brother would never call me that!” Jiro brought the egg closer to his face. “Right, Saburo?”
He moved the egg with his hand to make it look like it was nodding.
Saburo wanted to grab that egg and throw it at Jiro’s face, but he held himself back. This was something he could use as a learning experience for his dumbass older brother.
And how would he teach him?
By taking his own egg and showing him just how dumb of an idea this was!
Saburo grabbed his egg from the fridge and held it close. “Me and my brother shouldn’t have to be around your scrambled brain.”
