Clark first meets Bruce at a Wayne Foundation gala and is instantly confused by his own reaction to just a simple touch, a growing possessiveness leading to Bruce's unexpected kindness to take him to his hotel, and hours later they both wake up in bed together with no memory of the encounter. He tells himself it doesn't matter, but an ache consumes him till he flies to the fortress to learn the truth.

Lex had been surprised, almost disappointed, the alien hadn’t visited him in prison to gloat. Maybe Superman had been waiting for Lex’s release all along, a chance to be truly alone with Lex. No guards, no lawyers, only Lex and Superman. Lex’s pulse hammers in his throat.
Lex affixes a bored expression and flicks his gaze out to the Metropolis skyline. “Quit skulking and make yourself useful, Superman.”
Lex spends six months in Belle Reve thinking about how to destroy Superman once and for all. When he's released, he realizes Superman has been thinking about him as well. When Superman shows up on his doorstep, Lex decides to take advantage of the situation to learn enough about Superman in order to finally take him down.Despite the risks, Clark wants to know if Lex has changed. What begins as a fragile truce quickly deepens into something more than either of them could have predicted. Sex. (And maybe more.)

Superman’s parents had written the blueprint for their sons downfall, and Lex would be the architect who brought it to life. He would give the alien exactly what his creators intended for him, but on Lex’s own terms. An heir, a future, a leash. Soon enough superman would be his to command.
Lex has a plan. It’s going well. He has his army of monkeys spewing out constant Superman hate, a mindless clone who is unstoppable even to Superman, Boravia in his pocket, a deal for half of Jarhanpur, his pocket dimension, and a prison designed to hold the alien. Everything is perfectly planned until a message from Superman’s dead parents, hidden in the ice fortress, hands Lex an entirely new idea. One far more dangerous and personal.
