Experience and Gertrude Robinson had taught Elias Bouchard two things:
1) Never underestimate a woman with a dead cat and access to C4 explosives, and
2) The Archives worked best when it was a polycule of socially awkward, actively fucking nerds.Every previous Archivist had been game for Jonah’s particular brand of team-building (aka, office orgies). He’d thought Gertrude’s single cat-lady stance had been mostly ironic. It hadn’t.
Unfortunately, her successor seemed to be following in her footsteps in that way. Not only was Jonathan Sims the single least sexual person Jonah had ever met (including Gertrude, who at least had some dommy vibes) he’d chosen two assistants with whom he’d already formed purely platonic bonds and who had previously been in a relationship with each other and amicably decided that it just hadn’t worked out. The most mature, adult, reasonable and unsexy situation imaginable.
There was only one option. The last resort. The big guns.
Martin Blackwood. Office slut.
The most hilarious part is that Martin doesn’t even know he’s a slut yet. But Jonah’s an expert at tipping one domino over and watching the rest fall…

“Wait,” the nurse said, interrupting him. Ben clenched his shaking hand. “Henry Bowers?” Ben and Eddie exchanged a glance. “The man who broke out from that psychiatric hospital last night? He killed four people on the way out,” she said, and Eddie felt a sick relief deep in his chest.
If Bowers killed more people, on top of his father and friends back in ’89, surely Richie would get off the hook for braining him.

Logan is a little weirdo, Wade has come to realize.
Okay, not necessarily. By mutant standards, a lot of what Wade has witnessed from Logan over the course of these past couple months of living together would be seen as normal, all things considered. But for Wade, it’s odd. It’s odd because while there are some traits he’s come to expect out of those with mutant abilities, Logan always presented himself as relatively normal.
Well, as normal as a man with forks for hands and over two hundred years worth of unresolved mental and emotional trauma can really be. That is to say, if it weren’t for those claws, one would easily forget Logan wasn’t entirely human.
There are certain instances where Wade is quickly reminded, though.
