Will's eyes follow as one boy – Chance – runs his hand through his hair, letting the hem of his jersey ride up a bit.
And look, Will isn’t an idiot. He knows the way he looks at boys isn’t normal. And he knows he has never looked at girls this way. Never followed the movement of their bodies or tracked a bead of sweat as it dripped down their neck. Maybe a part of the reason Will started to actually watch basketball is because he liked to watch the players, not the game. But nobody else needed to know that.

As Chance exhales this time, he brings his mouth down to fully cover Will’s. It’s barely even a kiss, just their lips pressed against each other. As Will inhales, he catches Chance’s lips in his own. His hand slides up Chance’s chest, fisting in the center of his shirt. Chance tangles his fingers deeper in Will’s hair as his other hand comes to rest on Will’s waist. He responds to the kiss immediately, pulling Will even closer, kissing him deeply, aggressively, as if he’s the one who has been waiting all night. Starving.

Will is in Hawkins instead of California and goes to Lucas' basketball game. After, he's goes to the party with Lucas and meets Chance.

But apparently running around in the sewers and getting into rock fights is ‘concerning behavior’ so his mom decides the best thing for him is to be packed away to spend the summer with his cousin Mike
The one silver lining here is that he doesn’t have to see Bill and Eddie flaunting their relationship anymore. Stupid alpha omega dynamics. All Richie ever wanted was an omega. But everything blows up in his face like usual.
Enter Will Byers. The prettiest omega Richie’s ever laid eyes on. But Richie knows better now. He’ll just fuck things up like usual.
