Summary
Reeling from the aftermath of the globe-spanning Third Tiberium War, the Global Defence Initiative is hard-pressed to recoup the losses it has taken. After the loss of its central command hub, the Space Station Philadelphia, the global government has begun adopting the decentralised guerilla tactics of its enemy, the Brotherhood of Nod. GDI has mostly abandoned the ruined surface of the Earth, relying on orbital infrastructure and flying carrier craft to project its power.
Despite their messiah Kane’s resurgence, the Brotherhood is more fractured than ever, and many of the once-faithful doubt his vision for the future. The Children of CABAL - mad, mutant cyborgs - roam the wastelands, and age-old feuds threaten to tear the ancient organisation apart.
The inscrutable Threshold Tower, constructed by the alien Scrin, stands above all as a silent monument to humanity’s lack of understanding of the greater universe.

Summary
The Mantrin species secrete pheromones when they interact with one another. This aids them in social situations, bonding and mating. So what happens when a Mantrin is without contact with others of its kind for a long period of time? The answer to that is that their desire for mating and bonding lessen over time. This is an evolutionary mechanism that helps them handle long periods of isolation - A great trait to have when you travel long stretches of empty space.
But what happens when a lone Mantrin suddenly encounters the pheromones of other Mantrins, after years of no contact? Duna, a young female mantrin, is about to find out.
