His... No... Their mind getting flooded with information too much for them to handle on their own.
Their own? Who are they hearing in their head? Or are these voices from outside? From around them?
OR; Grian is taken by the Watchers and transformed into one of them, causing his mind to get overwhelmed with foreign visions, voices, and memories. Forced to sort through the chaos, he has to escape these seemingly powerful beings, who may not be as all-mighty as They claimed they are.

'Just a †ð¥' is the first part of the 'You can't escape the T̵̢̨̗̞̻̼̬̔̍̇͂̇Ŗ̵͍̔͋̃̍͠Ų̸̮̰̲̲̞͉̺̃͗͛͒͑͝T̵̞͚̻̞̳̮̆͠H̷̥͔͂́̎' (YCETT) series.
This part mainly plays in the Down Side Up, where Grian finds out the horrible truth about the Watchers after he himself became one. Though he does not find out about that smoothly as he does go through trauma and needs to figure out what to believe in.

Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Grian is a vet. After a chance encounter in the dead of night, during which he accidentally saves a villain from the brink of death, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a world beyond anything he could've ever imagined.
