"Don't worry about wiping out." Frankly, she couldn't imagine it- someone of such even kilter being thrown off, even in an element that was not of his own. Bearing Malipo appeared to bring with it the privilege of equity in each and every situation; she had never seen him privy to anything less than the just cost that was weighed.
Still, Mualani is compelled to speak. If only to staunch the flicker in her chest.
"I'll be there to catch you."
His arms are crossed and his face is solemn as ever. "That won't be necessary." His reply is curt, as dismissive as the absent-minded pull of his fingers at the dangling accessory by the lobe of his ear,
doubletriple checking that his treasured tepetlisaurus fangs had been properly fastened.It is his eyes- molten; gold like the blazing, bleeding heart of the sun- that let his inner truth slip.
