“Why are we not bringing them with us?” Haru mildly protested against his neck, slouching on the backrest.
Daisuke shifted his hands up to Haru’s nape in a long, smooth stroke.
“Because you’ll pass out the instant you’ll feel the passenger seat on your back, and you'll burn yourself.” he muttered, carding his fingers through the sandy hair “Moreover, since we are so badly sleep deprived, I know we won’t be able to put any kind of re-hydrating liquid into you until the day after tomorrow.”

Daisuke was going to die. He hesitated for a fraction of an instant because he couldn't decipher HEUSC's words through the static. And Daisuke was going to die because of it.
