Summary
Jon looses his humanity and goes back to fix things, totally unrecognizable, with new instincts, and the same love for Martin. Meanwhile everyone else is questioning what the hell is up with this monster fawning over Martin.
Edit: Please see the note. I am aware of Jons ability to nod and type and such. I actually am paid to communicate with non verbal people. This story is built on the idea of no one recognizing Jon. If he tells them "hey, I'm Jon!" then the story would be like two chapters long. You can stop telling me every chapter that they can communicate. I know. I know the same way Agatha Christie knows who done it and then doesn't tell you till the end. Because if you solve the problem of the story the story ends.

He breaks away from Brian's grip, walking steadily towards Ivy and Raphaella. Ivy glances up, smiling at him, and she starts to say something, but it’s cut off by his hand curling around her neck. He savors the crunch of her windpipe beneath his fingers, blood staining the shiny metal, dripping onto her blouse. He hears Ashes swear from where they’re standing nearby, but no one makes any move to stop him.
He lets Ivy’s body fall, her neck already starting to repair itself, knitting together. He turns to face Raph, and the pity and understanding in her eyes almost makes him sick again.

Rescued and brought aboard by the Mechanisms, Lyf sleeps (and goes on one hell of a trip while grappling with the Bifrost). Marius stays with them, waiting for them to wake, and deals with his own feelings now that they're back.

The profile photo is a recent Instagram photo from Mollymauk Tealeaf's page — one of the Tealeaves, a band of three siblings that started in Wildemount but gained worldwide fame in recent years. The middle sibling, Mollymauk, is the loudest of the three, the most colorful, and he probably would be the type to make a profile on a shitty dating app, so Caleb presses the match button and keeps scrolling.
At least if the fake person on the other end tries to keep up the farce to scam him, he'll already be a step ahead. He wonders just how common this sort of thing is, and whether it works. Surely nobody is stupid enough to fall for a profile of a celebrity, right?
