He stands up from the chair and starts walking around, lightning up all the candles strategically placed around the room. He’s slowly moving about, touching things and bringing them closer to his eyes to examine them. He always places each and every object back in its original spot, like it was never moved to begin with. “We’re leaving first thing tomorrow, better get yourself ready.”

“Alert who?” The man questions, cutting him off and heading closer to Chay. He’s on the leaner side, but his exposed arms show off his muscular biceps. It makes Chay gulp, the fear coming back. “All the elderly women that stayed here? The children?”
