Summary
Never trust someone who asks for you by name.
That was a lesson Wild learned early.
He was actually known by a lot of names. He was the Hylian Champion to those on the roads, as well as those in Hateno and Lurelin. He was the Flame Vai to the Gerudo, a mighty clan of desert warriors. He was Little Guy to the Gorons on the aptly named Death Mountain. He was Wild to his closest friends, to those in Kakariko, and to his brother.
He was Link, his birth name, to the bounty hunters chasing his reward, and to the Yiga Clan that set it.
A classic “gang-meets-Wild” fic in which Wild joins the Chain whilst he and Twilight try to hide the kingdom’s worst-kept secret—Wild is also a hero. Also known as one of the longest "Refusal of the Call" 's of the hero's journey that has ever been put to paper.

Demonstration of a self-reviewing method.
Written like a poem, but the lines can be reassembled into a perfectly clear prose. This work is a very interesting demonstration of a point I once heard from a certain professor of English Language: one of the hallmarks of good prose is that it can be chopped and then reorganized into a poetic form, just like this work. Of course, to compose the entirety of a prose in this manner is an impossibility, but making sure that the substantial portion of the prose can meet this criteria is a useful technical tool to have. -

First Person POV
'Confession of a sinner' style. A lighter version of introspection that is seen in the works of Dostoevsky.
Technical excellence.
The resolution is rather explosive than regretful. But the narrator has already accepted his cowardice in the middle. This makes the act of courage at the end seem too sudden and inconsistent. With this pacing, finishing the story with the narrator crawling back into his shell of cowardice (example: writing a letter to his love at a regular time interval and then not sending any of them, but storing and stockpiling them in his personal secret safe, even as he finds his life moving forward with eventual marriage and children), which he justifies with his physical shell of disability, might have been an interesting possibility.
