It wasn’t until the Neighbourhood Watch started discussing what to do with Nicholas and whether they could still conceivably stage his accidental death that Danny realised how deeply screwed he was.
The NWA were taking every precaution they could. They would not let Nicholas out of Sandford alive, which would make Danny’s job of sneaking him out a lot harder.
Or, Nicholas hesitates too long and is caught by the NWA. Danny suggests keeping Nicholas prisoner in his house and plans to help Nicholas escape Sandford.
