“Perhaps, perhaps not,” Nie Huaisang shrugged, “Even if he came back, that wouldn’t do much to help, would it? Your sister is still gone. His reputation still damaged.”
“Stop speaking in riddles,” Jiang Wanyin growled, “What did you come here for, Nie Huaisang?”
“I asked you what you would do for your brother back,” Nie Huaisang started, “I would do anything to have mine back, Jiang Wanyin. And I’m here to offer you that same choice. Because our brothers’ deaths never should have happened. They happened because of schemes and plots. They happened because of lies and deception. Your brother was made to be a villain and was led to his death because he was too powerful. Mine was murdered because he stood in the way of Jin Guangshan.”

After Huaisang’s explanation, Wei Wuxian could do nothing but sit and stare at his friend dumbly for a moment as he tried to process that information. He eventually shook his head, “that can’t be true. I mean, me and Lan Zhan? He’s fun to mess with and he’s definitely handsome, but there’s no way we’re compatible. We’re like total opposites!” He protested.
Huaisang fanned himself, a small smile forming on his face, “I mean, they do say opposites attract Wei-xiong,” he said with a quiet giggle.
Or... After arriving for the guest lectures at the Cloud Recesses, Wei Wuxian quickly realized he and Lan Wangji are fated to be mates. Instead of ignoring this new development, he decides to act on the new feelings forming towards his classmate. Leading to Wangxian getting together much earlier, starting a family, and averting quite a bit of tragedy down the line.

Summary
When Lan Wangji came to the magistrate’s estate in Yunmeng, he found the aged manor house in a state of neglect.

Summary

Mingjue grunts as he nods his head, getting up from the cushion on the floor and extending his hand towards Xichen. The smaller male takes it, getting easily tugged into a standing position. The next second passes by in a blur, and Xichen finds himself thrown onto the soft mattress, pressed between the mattress and the weight of the taller man. He lets out a throat noise at the suddenness of the movement. Xichen’s eyes are wide, his scent spiked from the shock, startling both himself and Mingjue, who lets out a small chuckle.
