“I fit stuff to the measurements Huaisang gave me,” Wei Wuxian says, sorting through the array of dark, elaborate outfits that will no doubt cover less of Lan Zhan than they appear. Wei Wuxian hums to himself, his eyes flitting up and down like he’s trying to judge exactly what he should select.
“You have an aura, kinda,” Wei Wuxian says. He doesn’t offer any explanation as to what that means. Finally, he selects something from the rack, cradling it over one arm and turning around to face Lan Zhan. He frowns, biting the corner of his lip briefly. “Um, Huaisang told you all the stuff we had in mind for this, right?” He asks, his apparent confidence undercut for the first time. “I mean like, the rope stuff.”
“Yes,” Lan Zhan says, his tone giving nothing away. “I was informed.”
“So… that’s still okay?” Wei Wuxian asks. When Lan Zhan nods he breathes out a sigh of relief.

Wei Ying sighs. Lan Zhan: stubborn bastard of the year. (That’s part of his charm; Wei Ying loves this when he’s not too busy hating it.)
Lan Zhan shifts, drawing Wei Ying’s full attention to him, and there’s something about the way he holds himself, like he’s small, like he’s desperate, like he’s prepared to prostrate himself and beg, that undoes everything Wei Ying has been trying to do here.
Misty-eyed and soft with sleep, Lan Zhan asks Wei Ying to stay.
Lan Zhan gets drunk at a party for Reasons™ and Wei Ying takes him home. Shenanigans ensue.
