Summary
Dazai doesn’t know what to think of it yet, but if they’ve already confirmed that Chuuya has memory loss then at least that means he's awake. Alive. The panicked energy he’d been carrying since Atsushi called and said Akutagawa and Chuuya-san are receiving treatment from Yosano-sensei right now fades into a quiet thrum. He had expected something else. Something worse. After all, being in Yosano’s care has grave implications; this hallway has seen enough pacing to attest to that.
Chuuya is hit with an Ability that erases specific memories. It isn't as bad as it seems.

Summary
He quickly washes the mugs and pats them dry(ish) with the fish-patterned towel hanging from the oven handle, and gets to work. Dazai had rearranged the stuff in Chuuya’s kitchen cupboards too many times. His bottomless pantry is the main reason he still has some meat on his bones. So, it’s not hard to find everything he needs in Chuuya’s kitchen. A thermal mug, the main hope for Dazai’s success. Fresh peppermint leaves. Ginger. Lemon. A splash of honey to make the zesty concoction more velvety and envelop stupid chibi’s stupid sore throat like a stupid fuzzy little scarf.
He mentally cringes at the image.
This is nauseating. He’s getting too goddamn soft.or
Chuuya is sick. Dazai takes care of him.

Summary
There are three different kinds of drunk Chuuya and people are mostly acquainted with the first two: loud and angry drunk, and loud and sad drunk. The third one, this one, is the quiet and stupid drunk. Needless to say, this is Dazai’s favorite kind not only because Chuuya is being extra cute but also because the chibi is being extra stupid. And being extra stupid means that Chuuya lets himself be extra vulnerable, one that Dazai absolutely cannot allow others to see.

Summary
Chuuya always knew he would die young. He knew this fact since he was king of the sheep, and it was only made all the more true once he joined the mafia. Still, he clung to life like a leech and managed to make it all the way into his 20s before it was confirmed.
Nakahara Chuuya would die in a month's time.
In that time, he prepares those around him for a world without him. If he were to truly die, he needed to fill in the holes that would be left once he passed. Ane-san, Akutagawa, and especially those in the Detective Agency. After all, his 7 years of knowledge regarding Dazai had to go somewhere, right?
When asked about one Dazai Osamu, most would shiver and mutter the lines of "that man seems to know everything". It's a false statement, of course, since that fact goes to his coworker, Ranpo. No, it's not that Dazai knows everything, it's just that he plans for everything. Most things are fickle, after all, and can't be expected to remain the same.
The only exception is Chuuya. The sky is blue, grass green, and Chuuya will always be there. It's the way the world works.
Except for when it isn't, and Dazai's world suddenly stops spinning on its axis.

"Chuuya—"
"Don't fucking—*don't!* Fucking SPARE me! I don't need your or anyone else's help! You are the LAST person who has the right to offer me anything! FUCK!” Chuuya shrieks, then he collapses onto the floor screaming.
The floor shatters under him as For the Tainted Sorrow roars in his veins.
“Shit,” he curses, watching fragments of the floor start to float up around him. “Shit-shit-shit!"
His hands are shaking, but he can’t get gravity to respond. He can’t get his own body to respond.
Then a cool hand lands on his shoulder, and everything clatters back to the ground.*“I won’t leave you.”*
Or, Chuuya breaks, and Dazai spends a year putting his pieces back together, no matter how many times he cuts his fingers on their sharp edges.
At the end, they’re both softer for it.Epilogue starts at chapter 39!

Summary
Dazai is not a jealous man, no. His affections change with a flick of his wrist; he rarely holds on to anyone long enough for it to matter, for him to want to sink his teeth and never let go. That Chuuya managed to grow vines all over his heart seemed like an improbability, and for the longest time Dazai refused to even acknowledge his most delirious nights all revolved around the sinking feeling in his stomach whenever Chuuya came home with someone else.
Alternatively: Dazai confronts the reality of his feelings for Chuuya in the most chaotic scenario.

Summary
Chuuya Nakahara wakes in the infirmary of the Armed Detective Agency with no memories of what landed him there, or why he isn't able to manipulate gravity at will.
Dazai's at his side, tight-lipped about the ordeal and hiding behind his veneer of calm, and lets the doctor inform Chuuya that he'll be staying at the Armed Detective Agency until further notice, the deal already negotiated between their organizations.
Living with Dazai keeps bringing up the past, though, and there's nothing worse than being forced back into old memories where none new can form.
