Summary
This is the story of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. From their entrance as ignorant children to a strange, harsh, and demanding world, to their growth into rulers recognized on the world stage. Their journey will not be a gentle one, full of many successes and failures. Along the way, they will make friends, learn from brutal instructors, and become part of the legendary family Black.
This is a 'what if' about what would happen if 'Draco isn't an Idiot', and paid attention to the lessons Narcissa taught about the Black, and following their motto, ‘family first.’ Naturally, Draco would invite Harry to join his family, and from there he actually learns the truth, instead of the lies told by Dumbledore. With proper supervision and the love of family, Harry excels in ways never dreamed.
Because that wasn't enough of a challenge, I also made a world very similar to Victorian England with harsh discipline, honor, and proper comportment. I created a world where first-gens are used to replenish the magic of families, so while second-class citizens, they are necessary every three generations to keep the family magic alive. Beloved Hekate is the goddess of magic, and she does occasionally interfere, too.

Summary
Harry could not be happier. For the first time in his life, he does not have to go back to the Dursley's. Instead, he is living with the Malfoy's and Sirius, and he couldn't be happier.
Truly. He could not be happier. Nothing is going to damage that.
Except as his summer starts, and as it moves into school time, he has to face the realization that his happiness may need to take a backseat in the face of great danger. With nightmares plaguing him (as well as visions) and two new European schools joining them for the year for some Death Tournament, the danger seems to be greater than ever.

Welcome to my Alternate Reality Timeline rewrite of the Harry Potter book series.
This is a dedicated, work-in-progress project aiming to rewrite all seven books. My primary goal is to explore how a few major canon events could unfold under drastically different circumstances, leading to changed, deleted, or entirely new plot points. The remaining book's plotlines will change accordingly as more events take place whitin the stories, so expect more divergence from the original canon content.
