It all started on a typical shift at the movie theater, mopping sticky floors and dealing with impatient customers. When one customer reminds Rey of her past she ends up shattering, attempting to end her life inside her home, her car parked in the parking lot. Rey thought that she was ending her life that day but really she was only starting it. Fast forward to a scholarship competition, a dusty community theater, and a teacher who despite Rey’s best efforts is able to unravel her walls. -
