Summary
I said I would NEVER write a fic about Tech surviving the fall on Eriadu only to be captured by Hemlock...but then, I saw this amazing artwork by JenessaRae11 and I was fascinated (ok, a little obsessed!). The intelligence and dark calculation within this character's eye speaks volumes to me. I had no idea how much I would enjoy exploring the idea of an Imperial Tech, especially if he cannot be controlled by Hemlock. What if Hemlock's experimental tampering explodes in his face? How bizarre and psychologically terrifying would this character be? Would he be completely evil...or something more?

Tech blinked slowly, trying to gather the threads of his patience. Sarcasm slipped through regardless. “As impressive as your logical reasoning abilities are, I don’t have time to converse.”
There was a subtle change in the clone engaging with him, tenser shoulders and a tilt of his head.
Still, Tech was unable to anticipate the brutal blow to the back of his head.
A startled grunt escaped him as the world exploded into splinters of light and movement. His knees slammed into the hard ground and he caught himself with his hands.
Nausea and pain roiled through him and by the time full awareness rebooted in his mind, the clone was crouched in front of him, unmistakably snide even through the protection of his helmet.

He'd been called it before. Droid. They threw the term at him as though it was an insult, but if they believed Tech would find such a label to be offensive, they would find themselves sorely disappointed. After all, the term, while meant to dehumanize and demoralize, was rather apt in the end.
