Oh fuck.
It’s dripping blood onto the floor.
‘Shit,’ Steve says, takes a single step back, swallows. ‘Eddie, I’m so sorry, fuck.’
Eddie can’t seem to look away, can’t bring his ethereal gaze back up where it belongs. Steve thinks he should run, he should flee. A tiny part of him knows Eddie will chase him. Eddie will catch him, outrun him easily.
It's more than a little fucked up how that thrills him.

Another knock interrupted his scrutiny of his–apparently faulty–security system. He huffed out a breath and mentally consigned himself to a cold breakfast. Biting into his toast, Jaskier reached under the table to retrieve the glock he kept there for exactly this possibility.
He checked the chamber as he walked over to his door and glanced through the peephole. Nothing. Guess he’d have to do this the hard way.
Thumbing off the safety, Jaskier yanked the door open and felt a thrill of surprise burn through him at what awaited him.

“Well, well,” Jaskier purred, leaning against the door jam. “Who do I have to thank for this gift?”

Summary
Based on the story of the "Lucifer of Liège." Thor and Balder Odinson are both respected sculptors in Bergen. Balder was commissioned to make a piece for a new cathedral depicting "the genius of evil" which is conquered by religion, but the press thinks it's too distractingly beautiful and the bishop orders it removed and commissions a replacement from Thor. Thor goes looking for the same model Balder used, who makes a perfect fallen angel, and finds Loki, a mysterious young man who seems to have much in common with the figure he's been hired to model.
