Summary
McCoy spends the first six weeks on board of the Enterprise muttering to Jim about unfeeling hobgoblins and the undeniable stupidity of having a green-blooded supercomputer as the executive officer, and the first day of the seventh leaning back against the bulkhead in someone’s quarters, the lips of the Vulcan in question stretched around his cock.
ORIf McCoy could have stopped himself from falling for Spock, he would have done it, dammit.

Summary
In the aftermath of defying his country to save his best friend, Steve Rogers agreed to a plea bargain that would grant his friends immunity but send him to prison. That was two years ago.
Bucky had a plan for when Steve finally was released from prison: a quiet house and a big bed, maybe a dog. None of his plans included Steve agreeing to sacrifice himself to save the very people that had stripped him of his title and took away his freedom. But old enemies have a way of coming back.

Summary
In the chaotic years after Steve Rogers arrives back in 2023 as an old man, he helps rebuild the world, falls in love with his best friend, adopts a stray cat, and saves the entire timeline. Not necessarily in that order.
—
“Now you’re slow enough for me to catch you the next time you try to do something stupid.” Bucky leans close and jostles their arms together. “That’s the best part.”
Steve presses a wrinkled hand to his chest. “I’ve matured, James Barnes. I would never do something stupid.”
Bucky rolls his eyes and drops an arm over Steve’s stooped shoulders. “Yeah, you’re still a punk, old man.”

“So you got these safe houses scattered all over Russia?” Steve jokes into the soft hair over Bucky's temple, not pulling away, “Or did we just get lucky?”
Bucky shakes his head and then replies, “Got myself a few. It’s been a long two years.”
“Yeah pal,” Steve nods, burrowing further, “I hear that.”

"Steve was good," Bucky tells her, but even as he says it, it doesn't sound true.
Yelena can tell, too. "As good as he was in the Void?" she asks.
"That wasn't him." Bucky shakes his head and looks down at the sandwich clenched in his metal hand. He had nightmares again for weeks after that. "Steve was... he was my best friend. He was my family."
Yelena closes one eye and squints at him. “Family like the wife or family like the brother?”
Bucky makes a face and shoves her so hard she cackles and drops the pickle slice she was about to put in her mouth.

Summary
Matt gets a call the summer before law school informing him that he'll be able to room with his betrothed, but Matt would be much happier about that if he'd known his father had arranged a marriage for him in the first place. After he renegotiates the terms with his betrothed, Foggy, he has the space of law school to get used to the idea of marrying him, unless he decides he doesn't want the contract at all.

"I really wish someone would come save me," Matt says, and the tone of his voice is past "slightly pointed" and nearing "very stabby" so Foggy ducks out from behind the wall.
"Intruder!" Mole Man hisses, sweeping his cape around him like a Bela Lugosi impersonator.
"Hi," Foggy says lamely, "I'm here to pick up my husband, are you about done with him?"

Summary
Dan had been so bone-deep sure that he was going to have to leave Casey that he had, in effect, mentally reconciled himself to the idea. There was something to it, he was pretty sure, and he said so to Abby: something to the idea of reconciliation, something to smoothing over all the hollow, pitted scars in his soul with warm beach sand. He’d bake in the sun until all the regrets had baked out, like alcohol from a rum cake.
“Don’t you mean rum balls?”
“No, I’m pretty sure I mean cake.”
