Disclaimer: This was the first fanfic I ever wrote. The beginning is ROUGH, but it improves a lot as the story goes on and it's engaging enough that I'm not removing it from AO3.

Summary
It takes a sub only ten drops without a dom to fall into eternal sleep. That was the only undeniable, unchangeable, unavoidable truth that Steve knew.
And now that Bucky was gone, it was just a question of when before Steve reached that number.
That’s okay though. Steve deserved such a fate after how he had failed the man he loved. His only hope is that he’ll be able to do some good before his time is up.
Or the ten times Steve falls apart without Bucky, and the story of how they find each other again.
