The only problem with her plan is that the toon underneath is a completely empty void. And now somebody knows that.
All she can afford to lose is her own life. It probably wouldn't impact anybody if she tried to go, right?

Summary
Vee rarely shows emotions. Everyone knows this. She used to, before the shutdown, but has deferred to logic in these trying times. Everyone appreciates having a calm voice of reason around, so they don’t question it.
Glisten is perfect. Everyone knows this. He never makes mistakes and is always reliable to do anything and everything wonderfully. No one has ever questioned why he’s so dedicated to the image of perfection.
It’s only a matter of time before they both either give up the facade or break trying to hold it up.
