Summary
To the studio’s collective relief, Salvage premiered to excellent reviews. There was always the lingering terror that, regardless of all of their hard work and playtesting, that the game would bomb, flop, and destroy all of their young careers. Which was why Kei was half-heartedly writing out potential ideas for a next game with his earbuds on, listening to a playlist of video game soundtracks. His day was going well, and normal, and Sakusa only glared at Bokuto like he wanted to strangle him with his load-bearing jpeg three times, when a notification in his YouTube account made him tab over.
Yama Reviews: Salvage! the notification cheerfully announced.
Kei choked on his coffee.

Summary
“Something on your mind, Miranda?” Umbra-9 asked, her accent even thicker following multiple rounds of vodka.
Miranda did not reply immediately, propping her chin up on her hand and peering around the room. The common area was a riot of noise and color and laughter illuminated by the red-blue-gold-purple fireworks outside the Tower window. Rell, Kit-7, Phes, and Oshanine were playing a very exuberant and high-stakes game of poker – she saw three Hunter cloaks, five exotic weapons, the deed to two different ships, and, strangely, an autographed photo of Lord Shaxx. Mishra was getting them more wine or more water or more snacks or all three. Bash and Spook were playing Ghost Chicken and blatantly trying to bully Caliban into joining. Pontifex roundly refused and ushered Caliban back to their table, settling onto their respective Guardians’ shoulders.
“Vell?” Umbra-9 asked, smiling patiently. Miranda sipped her cold water and peered around the room one more time. Everything had gone soft and warm and hazy.
“I think,” she said dreamily, “We were all part of the same star once.”

And then this beautiful man said to Kurapika, “I have two tickets to this incredible New Year’s Eve party at one of those swanky nightclubs in the city. Be my holidate.”
“Be your – what?” Kurapika asked. He sounded like he’d been punched in the throat. He felt like it, too. “You just met me. We’re complete strangers.”
“Yeah, that’s why it’s perfect!” Leorio said eagerly. His eyes sparkled. “We’re total strangers. We’re totally uninterested in a relationship right now. It’ll be totally platonic, chill, no-strings-attached. No expectations.”
--
or: all kurapika wants is for someone to get off his back about being perpetually single. somewhere across town, leorio wants the same thing. After a chance encounter, the two come up with an idea: they will be each other’s no-strings-attached, totally-platonic holidates.

Summary
Sanji scowls behind his sunglasses. He’s draped in heat, under an umbrella in a bright patterned shirt, large waffle with a dollop of melting whipped cream and a coffee-stained mug on the table in front of him. Further out on the patio, a whole group of screaming kids jump into the pool in sonorous succession.
“Relaxing is a scam.”
Zoro gives him one of those multilayered grumpy looks.
“It’s fraudulent. We’ve been defrauded.”

Zoro and Sanji go undercover at a fancy resort to take on a mysterious enemy. What could go wrong?

Summary
In the fairy tales Sanji’s mother read to him when he was small, the world is orderly, easily described in a series of simple if-thens. For example: if there is a mysterious, abandoned castle under a curse, then there will also be a sleeping princess inside it. If the princess has been cruelly trapped, then knights from across the land will embark on a quest to free her. If the princess is beautiful and sad, then a handsome prince will find her and kiss her awake, and they will fall in love and live happily ever after.
In the quiet countryside town of Kuraigana, there is a mysterious, abandoned castle. There is a casket, and a curse. And there is something sleeping inside the casket, waiting to be awoken. Instead of a beautiful princess, though, a demon slumbers in Kuraigana Castle. And, instead of a handsome prince to break his spell, the poor sap is stuck with Sanji.

Summary
Zoro snorts. “So you want safe passage through our land, and in exchange you’ll move through peacefully, is that it?”
“Yes,” Reiju confirms. “And in order to cement the deal, my father is prepared to offer you several enticements as well.”
“Such as?”
She pauses, and for the first time in the entire conversation, Zoro thinks he sees a flicker of displeasure in her eyes. It vanishes before he can convince himself whether or not it’s real, though, after which her expression smoothes out into a mask of cool indifference.
“Well, for starters - my younger brother.”
