General Quackity Nevadas,
The Federation Empire has declared war upon the Theoritas kingdom. As the kingdom’s top General, I request that you lead the front lines. Several other Major Generals and Commandants have been recruited alongside you, but there is a reason why you were chosen as Theoritas Army’s General. You must leave for the palace for reconnaissance with other army leaders by tomorrow morning. I will give you more information that cannot be communicated on parchment here.

Theoritas Army General Quackity Nevadas has been living a peaceful, happy life with his husband, Head Magician Wilbur Soot, when he’s suddenly called to the front lines against the Federation Empire after a declaration of war. After Quackity orders protective “house arrest” and 24/7 guarding of his husband, Wilbur throws himself into his magic studies — though even being a hermit does not save him from being a top target of the Federation.

Summary
If Quackity caught a glimpse of Wilbur, his entire game would be over, and he would no longer get the thrill of fooling around right under his nose.
So now here he is, dressed in a deep burgundy not unlike the outfit he wore the day of his failed attempt to blow up Quackity’s horse, preparing himself in a bathroom stall for the most dangerous activity he’s ever participated in as a hobby.
Of course, if one doesn’t count blowing up L’manberg and much of Paradise.
Wilbur is not a stranger to high stakes. So when he hears a rumor of an underground gambling ring in Las Nevadas with stakes higher than any gambling hobbyist could fathom, he can't help but investigate during a secret night on the town with nothing on his person. After all, what could possibly be riskier than gambling with nothing except one's own last life to offer to the table?

"Wilbur, I need you to listen to me, and listen to me very clearly and carefully," Jaiden continued, grabbing Wilbur's attention at the sharpness of her words. "I don't know exactly what went down, but something... something happened with Quackity, something bad."
Wilbur was stunned. "What- what do you mean, something happened?"
When Wilbur comes back to Quesadilla Island after having toured around the world for six months, he is told that Quackity has gone missing and been replaced by an exact replica. He is then roped into an investigation while catching up with island citizens old and new, and discovers that he has missed a lot more than he originally expected.

Summary
While geologists predicted the result of a massive volcanic event, it was all hypothetical. There were papers published on the topic with no intention of any of it becoming reality. “There’s no way this could happen, at least in our lifetimes,” they all said, closing the case and moving on with more important research.
Then again, no one could ever fathom such a massive tectonic movement such as the one that ended the world nearly eight years ago, no matter how much research was conducted. The chances of it happening at all were so impossibly slim, and yet it still happened.
And Wilbur, just like everyone else, wished that he wasn’t of the generation that had lived to see it.
Tough times have fallen upon the Soot-Nevadas family since the volcanic apocalypse started: It’s wintertime, and Wilbur is the sole scavenger after Quackity sustains a severe leg injury, rendering him disabled. When Wilbur returns home from his first outing of the season, Quackity expresses some feelings whose confession is long overdue.

Quackity didn’t want to love Wilbur, this enigma of a man who showed a playful side of himself in the way they bickered back and forth during their debates; who was bitter towards Quackity when L’manberg’s former president was exiled to the caverns, yet somehow let Quackity sob and shake quietly in his arms when he felt phantom hands grip him and pull him back to the land he betrayed. He didn’t want to love the man who was supposed to be his rival, his political adversary, his enemy.
But he did.
He loved the rain.
And God, did he love Wilbur.
Quackity has an introspective moment while watching an Autumn rainstorm soon after the events of November 16th.

Quackity didn’t realize that he was staring at Wilbur until the older man’s eyes met his. They were striking yet comforting, in a way – warm, dark brown pools with gold flecks strewn throughout that likely wouldn’t be noticeable if it wasn’t for the sun shining straight into Wilbur’s face. Quackity could easily get lost in them – if the other party allowed him to, of course. And it’s not like he ever would, either; this was purely a business exchange. When Wilbur eventually got sick of being in a dead bar and left, Quackity would go on with his day and likely never see the man again.
Nevertheless, he hoped that at least he would remember Wilbur’s eyes if the man disappeared.
Quackity works all-day shifts as a bartender in an indoor mall. One day, a peculiar customer by the name of Wilbur Soot walks in for what Quackity assumed was the first and last time. However, as that one-time customer becomes a regular, Wilbur's presence in Quackity's bar makes the barkeep's life - including his romantic one - a whole hell of a lot more complicated.
