Summary
The Dark Lord took Harry’s blood, his protection, the love and sacrifice of his parents, and he used it to defeat Death.
And Death was defeated thrice.
“Headmaster?” James asked, his eyebrows screwing up. “Can you – can you please just tell us what’s going on? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
The stands of students suddenly erupted into cheers and fanfare, a wall of joyous sound. A brass band began playing, its trumpets blasting over the Quidditch pitch. Dumbledore pushed himself upright and looked round, but still he couldn’t say anything.
The band stopped playing, one instrument at a time, slipping into discordant jumbled noise, and then silence. The cheers stopped as though they had been turned off.
All the air seemed to vanish. Her lungs didn’t work.
“You are ghosts,” Dumbledore said, “I cannot – I must -” He turned away from them for a moment, as though meaning to sprint to the scene unfolding on the pitch. He stopped and grasped James’ arm. “My office. Curly wurly. Do not be seen.”

For what it was worth, Harry really hadn’t meant to travel to another universe. He hadn’t even known it was possible! It was the Elder Wand, and the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak’s faults. But the blame didn’t really matter, did it? Because he was still in another universe and he was still on the run from both sides of a war that, in his time, ended years ago.
