Summary
The Red Hound was a guild of vampire hunters known for their skill, and their symbol alone struck fear into vampires. The fear came from one hunter. The Phantom was what they called her —silent as a shadow, rarely seen, yet deadly. Hunters started several rumors about her, whether she was real or a myth, for the Phantom was never seen by most.
Jinx prided herself on knowing who the Phantom was, but perhaps the Phantom harbored more than she knew.

“I do. I saw finger marks, Vi. Around your throat.” Caitlyn’s voice rose despite herself, and her eyes were sharp, searching. “Are you really going to pretend I imagined that?”
Vi looked cornered. Her body tensed, as if every muscle inside her had seized up. Her eyes darted to the pavement, to the trees, to anywhere but Caitlyn.
“I don’t—” she started, her voice small.
“Why won’t you let me care about you?” Caitlyn asked, her voice cracking. “Why won’t you let me in? Is this even a friendship if you won’t let me help?”

Vi simply squinted. “Every month?” She said, then scoffed. “Cait, I haven't had one in years.”
Caitlyn’s head snapped up and her singular eye stared at her so intently that Vi supposed she might have sprouted a pair of horns.

“A-are you real?” Vi croaks. Too many nights she’s asked this question. Too many nights she’s gotten the same answer. Stoney silence and hints of lavender.
This Caitlyn raises an unimpressed brow. “Of course I’m real,” she says finally.
.....
“You miss me, Cupcake?” she lets her eyes rake over long legs and the blue uniform. “Because I miss you” Vi slurs. Her face itches. The black smudges feel so ingrained into her skin, running deeper than the ink she put there years ago.
Footsteps, tentative but firm, fill Vi’s ears. The thin mattress dips. Fingers grip her chin, the soft leather gloves force her eyes to blink open. She sighs through her nose.
“Or are you here t-to arrest me?” Vi hiccups, trying to challenge her. To goad. To take some semblance of control back.
“This isn’t you, Vi,” Caitlyn whispers. Vi takes her in. This version of her. Angled cheekbones and soft hands. Her face more disappointed than in the club. But there’s something else there. Something almost… real. The booze must've been stronger tonight.

Summary
Vi has a high stress career as a head chef and a troubled past. She's been working through her traumatic past with the experienced Dr. Heimerdinger and things are finally looking up when he announces his retirement. While this is a major blow to Vi's progress, Dr. Heimerdinger has the utmost faith his successor, the young Dr. Kiramman, will be able to take up the mantle and provide the support Vi needs.
Outside of professional therapy, Vi relieves stress in other ways...
To provide the physical relief Vi craves, she frequents Babette's Boudoir - a highly respected establishment that caters to clientele of special tastes. When Vi's regular partner is no longer available, Babette offers to match her with a new Dom looking for a submissive. While Vi is apprehensive to meet the mysterious Dom's requirements for privacy, she finds the experience to be oddly therapeutic and begins to crave more.- Words:
