Gem huffed, she sat there arms crossed kicking at an imaginary pebble that didn’t exist on pure concrete floor. “Come on, how was I supposed to know this was going to happen?” She ‘reasoned’ although it was entirely unconvincing and illogical to Pearl so why did she bother? Who knows! Pearl has long given up on trying to figure out the wonders of what goes on in Gems brain.
“You set a fire!” She said finally, turning to the other while waving her hands around for emphasis. Pearl had been in many, many odd places and weird situations, but never had she been in a jail cell.
Or: Pearl and Gem get arrested, they to the logical thing of breaking out.

So, he answered like he had to inpatient clients before, “Day at most don’t worry, you guys will be out of here by morning latest.” If Etho didn’t intend to sleep.. but even then with Tango and Mumbo? They’d fly through it.
“Oh.. ok” the other nodded, as he turned back to the exposed wiring. “Do you think you could fix my clock?”
Etho tried not to laugh, because a clock’s delay was much simpler then this and really he could probably fix it himself if he wanted to but.. “Of course, yeah I can.”

Summary
Mumbo was content to live a normal boring life. He didn’t want to be a villain, or a hero he just wanted to do good. He just wanted to be the person young him pictured he could be.. but apparently doing good in this world makes him the bad guy. It’s never black and white or even grey, it’s always painfully red.
Always red..
So.
That’s a really long tangent that leads the same question. Mumbo always wanted to stay away from villainy so, how has he ended up as one of the most well known ones in the city, and why is he self monologuing while standing about one foot away from a Watcher pointing a gun at him?
Or: Mumbo is an escaped lab experiment just trying to get by and do good. The world said no and suddenly he’s the key to taking down a corrupt government and the centre of everyone’s attention. Including a very particular clone.

Summary
There’s a picture that hangs on the wall in Xisuma’s cabin quarters. It’s frame is fancy plated gold and embroidered with gemstones. It is crafted in beautifully and there is nothing X loves more than it.
Inside the frame is a picture of nothing at all. It is a white blank sheet. He intended to keep it like that and the reason is simply the wall around it. A cheesy photo gallery that spread out from the frame like rays from the sun. Like a halo of memories, all of the ones held closest and dearest to his heart. Pined to the wall in an interconnected web showcase of everything they have done and everywhere they have been.
Engraved on the frame is a simple phrase he held almost as dear to his heart, maybe just for its stupidity. “All the events and mishaps that have occurred on Hermitcraft”
