In front of him are three men of different ages, but with similar distressed looks on their faces. Beaten and bloody, each one tied to a chair.
Panicked, Louis backs away from the sight - and straight into a solid, muscled chest.
“What - what is this?”
“Oh, this is a little problem I thought you could help me with,” Harry murmurs into his ear lightly.
“You see, these three men betrayed me, baby. And I want your help in deciding which one to make an example out of. Now, it’s a very simple game. I will put on a ten-minute timer and by the end of the countdown, you will tell me which one of these very distraught and scared men deserves to die. If you don’t choose anyone…Well, then I will kill all three of them.”
This is not how Louis thought his day would go. Please let this be a sick, twisted joke...

"Why're you being awkward?" Louis mutters, closing his eyes again.
"I'm not being awkward," Harry says after a moment of silence, before unbuckling his seat belt and agonisingly slowly moving towards the middle seat. There's another second of tenseness before Harry wraps his arm around Louis' frame, and Louis finally feels content.
"You're always awkward," Louis says, just to be mean. "You're definitely awkward now."
Louis can feel Harry roll his eyes as he leans back on the headrest in a more comfortable position.
"What reason would I have to be awkward?" he questions and Louis can't say much to that, you know unless he wants to actually make it awkward.
Drunk Louis and Sober Louis want very different things. Tonight, Louis is spectacularly drunk, but Harry is not willing to play along.

“Now, I know you’re not talking to me, because I’m sure as hell not your baby anymore,” Louis replies silkily, picking at the nail bed of his thumb nonchalantly. “I guess I’m not surprised you’re working your way through our friend group, though,” he adds sweetly and Harry groans.
“Get your arse up, Lou - we’re in the middle of a game!” Niall then complains loudly and Louis huffs, annoyed at having his friends think he’s the one being difficult and at fault here.
Therefore, as the knocking intensifies, he stands up to let the visitor in and to get them off his back.
“Thank you. Baby,” Harry smirks, and Louis flips him off.
Louis and Harry broke up five months ago, and not only is Harry holding Louis' beloved plush, comfy love seat hostage in what used to be their flat, but he has also invited the boy he's dating, Xander, to Boys Night. Louis might just have to throttle someone. That person will most likely be Harry Styles. Or possibly Xander. As of now, it's undecided, but a fucking close call. -

“You know Nick, Lou?” Harry prods. “Can you be a good boy and say hello to him?” Nick doesn’t quite know where to look. He’s never really been good with kids, but he didn’t really think it would be that much of a problem, because Louis wasn’t, you know, an actual child.

Summary
Recording with One Direction never felt like this. There’s a couple reasons for that, Harry thinks. One is that they did most of their recording on the road, rushed and in busses and hotel rooms, never in one place long enough to really get an argument going. The other, larger and more important one, is that back then he had the sweetest, meanest little omega around to distract him from all of that frustration.
The first time around, when he’d been recording his debut solo album, it hit him pretty hard. He likes to think he’s better adjusted to it now, but frustration is warring under his skin nonetheless. He doesn’t want to be told what to do most of the time, and he especially doesn’t want to be told what to do when it comes to his music.
What he does want right now is that sweet, mean little omega right in front of him with his mouth on Harry’s cock. Unfortunately, the best he’s got is his own hand and a shared toilet. So. That’s really not going to work.
