Summary
Eddie pulls at the trunk of the Christmas tree, almost falling over as he manages to tip it off the roof of his Jeep and onto the sidewalk with a wobble.
“Woah there! Need a hand?” calls a voice from the other side of the tree.
Eddie pushes a branch out of his face to find an impossibly handsome and shirtless guy holding up his arm as if to grab the tree and assist Eddie’s pathetic attempt at moving it.
“Shit sorry man, did I get you?” Eddie asks breathlessly, trying in vain not to look at the thatch of alarmingly sexy hair on the guy’s chest.
Chesthair laughs, pushing his swooping hair out of his face, “no, you’re good, I’ve got quick reflexes. So, where are we taking this thing?”
This guy clearly isn’t from a big city if he’s so willing to stop whatever the fuck he’s doing wandering around shirtless in December to help a damsel in distress.And they say chivalry is dead.
A newly single Eddie Munson buys a Christmas Tree in December 1999, and is helped by a handsome stranger, Steve Harrington, who’s maybe not a stranger after all.

Eddie struts down the hallway, “Yoo hoo! Sailor boy!” he calls out as he rounds the corner into the living room. Steve sits in shock, mouth agape as he looks Eddie up and down.
“I see you found my uniform,” says Steve, lips shifting into a cocky smirk, “told you it wouldn’t look half as good on you as it does on me.”
“Hey!” Eddie protests, “I look amazing and you know it, you just don’t want to admit that the uniform is doing it for you!”
“Hmmm, I dunno…” Steve trails off before crooking his finger and spreading his legs open like an invitation. “Let me see it up close.”
