Summary
He’s already in the room, shutting the door behind himself as quietly as he can before he realises that not only is there someone other than Shane in the room, but there are three someones other than Shane.
And, as if he hasn’t already fucked up spectacularly, the someones happen to be the Hollanders and Hayden fucking Pike.

Summary
Shane does not pull away, does not speak, does not kiss him again, just holds him like it is easier than letting him go, rocking them slowly back and forth on the edge of the mattress. There is a damp patch on his very nice new shirt where Ilya has failed to swallow back his tears, but he is cradling Ilya to him, anyway, like it doesn’t matter. Like it costs him nothing to do it.
Nobody has touched Ilya this way in a very, very long time. He had forgotten that it was possible to be handled with care—to be treated like a breakable object, instead of a broken one.OR: What happened in the hotel room after the Tampa Bay All-Stars Game.

Summary
Patrick let his gaze trace over his husband's sleeping form, reassuring himself that David was safe and relatively whole beside him. His heart broke as he thought back to the hospital, David’s fears of inadequacy spilling, unfiltered, between them. The thought that the last thing he had done to his husband was close the door in his face -- locking him out over a meaningless squabble.
--------------------
David is injured in an accident at the store. Patrick’s the one who can’t handle the fallout.
